Intermittent fasting is not a diet but an eating pattern . In simpler terms : It consciously decide to skip certain foods. Fasting and then eat deliberately , intermittent fasting means eating the calories for a specific time of day, and choose not to eat food out of that specific time . Now , there are some ways to use intermittent fasting :
Eat regularly over a period of time. For example, only eat from 12 pm to 8 pm , essentially skipping breakfast. Some people only eat in a span of six hours , or even a period of 4 hours.
Skip two meals in one day , with a total of 24 hours of fasting. For example, eating on a regular schedule ( finishing dinner at 8 pm ) and then not eat again until 8 pm the next day.
Now , you may be thinking , "OK , to skip a meal, end up eating less than normal , and therefore I will lose weight , right? " Well, that's partially true . Yes , to remove a full meal , you can consume MORE food for your other meals and still consume fewer calories ( which is important for weight loss ) . However, as we know that not all calories are equal, the timing of meals may also affect how your body reacts .
